Non-Compete vs. Non-Disclosure Agreements

Non-compete agreements differ from non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), which do not prohibit an employee from working for a rival. NDAs, on the other hand, restrict employees from disclosing information that the company considers private or secret, such as customer lists, underlying technology, or details about upcoming goods.

India has the largest written constitution in the world. Which is translated in more than twenty languages is very elaborate and has a provision for almost everything. Being at the bottom end of human development index people are not very law abiding and this unfortunately is endemic in the psyche. You can have as many complex documents signed and when it comes to enforceability it becomes a separate issue. Hence I would suggest you need to have other safeguards in place.
