Team work brings many advantages to the individual - Listing down some of the advantages

(1) Other team members provide different perspectives to the same situation/problem. Helps every team member understand different perspectives.
(2) In process to understand different perspectives, members need to communicate more effectively - thus improving communication skills
(3) Not all team members may agree on a point - which requires conflict management skills to arrive at a consensus / action plan
(4) It provides one individual to display leadership skills - If the team is deviating from its goal, she can step up voluntarily to ensure that proper direction is given.
(5) It may seem like the task takes more time if a team does it (v/s an individual), but the outcome is almost always more holistic and less prone to errors.
(6) Finally, it increases an individual’s awareness on how he/she deals with other people - One can introspect, find areas of improvement and work on it.
