How should you plan to prepare for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) exam?

It would be best if you started preparing in three phases:

Finishing the CMAT Syllabus:

  • Begin with the section that you find the most difficult and work your way down to the easier sections.
  • Do not begin a new topic until the prior one has been completed.
  • Do not study two or more things at once; you may become confused at the end of the day.
  • The simplest component of all is General Awareness; therefore, prepare for it at the end of this phase.

Sample Papers and Mock Tests:

  • Do not begin solving sample questions until you have completed the CMAT course.
  • If you have previously prepared for or taken the CAT, XAT, IIFT, SNAP, GMAT, or other exams, you can prepare for the CMAT by simply practicing mock examinations.
  • Analyze your performance after each CMAT mock test and take the next step based on your findings.
  • The goal of practicing mock tests should be to enhance speed and accuracy.
  • It will assist you in comprehending the test structure and preparing topics suitably.
  • Attempt to answer a wide range of questions. This will give you an indication of the types of questions you can encounter — difficult, easy, complicated, and lengthy.

Revision by Topic:

  • Do not begin a new chapter in the final two days before the exam.
  • Finish your revision the day before the exam and relax your thoughts overnight.
  • On the morning of the exam, do not study or revise anything.
